Association of Family & Conciliation Courts — Missouri Chapter Kansas City – MO AFCC LUNCH AND LEARN AFCC Court-Involved Therapist Guidelines In October 2010 AFCC released a 38-page best practice guide for therapists, attorneys, judicial officers, and other professionals facing the challenges surrounding therapeutic interventions with court-involved children or parents. These Guidelines serve to educate, highlight common concerns, and apply relevant ethical and professional guidelines, standards, and research in handling court-involved families. The Guidelines are also intended to assist the Courts in developing clear and effective Court orders and parenting plans allowing for effective treatment. Discussion will encompass the practical implications of implementing such Guidelines. Download a FREE copy of the Guidelines at www.afccnet.org. Please participate in this lively and free event.
